This blog has always admired Mets slugger Daniel Murphy. His power bat, keen eye at the plate, flawless defense, and particularly his unfailingly intelligent baserunning have come in for repeated and extensive praise. Indeed, this has been such a consistent theme I don’t see any need to check the archives to verify these assertions.
