Lesson #1: Frequently preface your comments with random non-sequitors meant to imply some sort of contradiction or inconsistency in the candidates position. Logic or plausibility not necessary. While this can apply to anyone, make a special effort to apply it to Democratic presidential candidates. While the AP’s Nedra Pickler is the master of this technique, the NYT is not far behind. Today:

For a candidate who professes to revile coverage of the political process, he had no hesitation in describing his writing process. 

Huh? What does one thing possibly have to do with another.

“Although she professes to revile my meatloaf, she had no hesitation in describing her recipe for banana cream pie.”

“Although he professes having no interest in biology classes, he had no hesitation in describing his research project in economics.”

Aaargh. I really should just start reading the Post.
