The fact that this hateful misogynist creep was a darling of the mainstream press before he became a star on the alt-right podcast circuit tells us a great deal about how we got here. Particularly when his meal ticket was the most uncharitable possible version of the “deplorables” speech Hillary got pilloried for padded out to book length.
