Checking in with our Elon-pilled plutocratic overlords
Apartheid nostalgist David Sacks has more Deep Thoughts about American politics:
Our tech plutocrat overlords:
–inciting a violent mob and an army of lawyers to try to stay in power despite losing an election: perfectly OK!
–LBJ declining the Democratic nomination: an unconstitutional coup https://t.co/rjfyD1RBIE— Scott Lemieux (@LemieuxLGM) July 20, 2024
Many are dunking on this very stupid comment for how it absurdly casts recommendations and the possibility of a presidential candidate choosing to drop out as a “coup.”
But don’t forget, this guy supports a politician who attempted an actual coup. It’s an attack on language too. pic.twitter.com/eGaMk2eCNv— Nicholas Grossman (@NGrossman81) July 20, 2024
These guys are clearly desperate to keep Biden in the race (which, to be clear, should not influence your own thinking on the issue, since they’re abject morons — if anything this is a statement against my own position,) but the neener-neener normalization of 1/6 is probably the even bigger priority.
This guy is so dumb and so smarmy about it that his asinine conspiracy theories about Ukraine got crickets in front of the most receptive possible audience:
david sacks speaking at the RNC is the funniest shit
from the double take at the start, to the silence applause breaks, the roaring crowd having their own conversation, or the weird pro-Russia messaging …
and dude’s really riding that Yammer wave …pic.twitter.com/OzQQO6zEN6— Charlie (@rcweston) July 16, 2024
Congratulations to the Quincy Institute!
Meanwhile, having gone full MAGA Bill Ack!, man seems to be shedding about 10 IQ points a week:
In the least surprising thing ever Bill Ackman, having found out about politics 2 months ago, has blown right past ousting a Harvard prez over DEI panic to pushing a Trump “second shooter” theory based on a video posted by Benny Johnson. pic.twitter.com/WrqEnWyyI9— Josh Marshall (@joshtpm) July 20, 2024
You might think these assholes are just cynics looking for their tax cuts, but their brains have turned too comprehensively to mush for this to be a convincing explanation.
