This is a gossipy nothing of a story, featuring ground-breaking insights such as that working for the White House is a high pressure job, and that a lot of people in the Biden administration are extremely worried about Donald Trump becoming president again. And of course it inevitably features the claim that, off the record, unspecified members of the administration have doubts about Biden running again, given his age.
But I thought this little nugget was worth highlighting:
Some Biden veterans said the toughest moment for them was probably the disastrous withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan.
Remember, this is a purportedly straight news story, not an op-ed. Characterizing something like the withdrawal from Afghanistan as “disastrous” is therefore OK only if there’s a genuine consensus about such a description of the event.
And of course there is such a genuine consensus — among the denizens of The Blob, who so tragically endured the loss of their beautiful beautiful Forever War, with dare I say disastrous consequences for many a prospective high end kitchen remodel in the suburbs of northern Virginia.
