Some change this year, with Germany replacing China in the top five countries and Virginia and Ohio making appearances in the top five states. I think Virginia’s ascension has to do with how Google is counting the DC metro area. Of Ohio I cannot speak intelligibly.

This list is inexact and could very well miss some new commenters because the Disqus data is a pain in the ass, but it is intended as an approximation of the most comments left in the past calendar year. For reference, all of the top ten left more than 7000 comments.
