Ground rules

A longtime LGM commenter emailed me this:
We might need ground rules for some of the I/P threads because I am trying very hard not to accuse some people of being Jew-haters and Nazi-lovers but it is very, very hard.
Any really long controversial thread is likely to feature the appearance of an obvious troll or three, and this is a gentle reminder (technical academic term) not to feed trolls.
But obviously that’s not what the commenter is talking about. I don’t have any real ideas regarding what any such ground rules would look like as I haven’t thought about this, but consider this a meta-thread for a discussion of how to have a discussion without accusing other members of this community of being Nazis, or apologists for colonialist atrocities etc.
