Election of the day: Juneau school board
Today, the citizens of Juneau, Alaska will participate in an election for a number of local offices. There are two openings on the school board, and two of the three candidates on the ballot today will be elected to three year terms on the board. One might reasonably argue that “Juneau School Board” is not a significant enough election to warrant inclusion in this series, but I beg to differ. Tonight’s election may well be the best opportunity to embed a member of the LGM community into the halls of power, as one of the three candidates is none other than distinguished blogger emeritus David Noon. He lays out his vision for Juneau’s school district here. Any Juneau LGMers who have not done their duty and voted in this election have about two hours to make it happen. Vote Noon!
UPDATE: Noon in first place, cruising to victory.
