A question: Do you believe that FOX fired Tucker Carlson because their very own Mr. Transphobia ReplacementTheory emitted into a private text the same sewage the network paid him millions of dollars to spew all over the world?

Follow up question if you answered yes: WTF is wrong with you?

The second question is rhetorical, of course.

If Carlson’s former bosses did express alarm when they read the draft script long-winded text he sent to a producer it would have been the most absurdly and transparently disingenuous variety of performative shock imaginable. We’re talking Lord Downey being surprised there are a few killers in the Assassins’ Guild levels of GTFO and stop being silly.

No one could reasonably think it is true, so naturally the New York Times and several other outlets set to work flogging the line that the Western Hemisphere’s top purveyor of white supremacism were shocked/alarmed/spooked by some in-house comments that were a weak 2 on FOX’s 1 to Activate Lynch Mob scale for suitable broadcast material.

But that’s what absolute devotion to fairness and objectivity the self-serving delusion that white people are rarely truly wicked they’re just easily misled will get you.

Anyway, the headline for this article in The Nation almost says it all: Tucker Carlson’s Racist Text Didn’t Get Him Fired.

I would have stuck “, You Jackass” on the end, but that’s just me.

People who post off-topic comments are Tucker’s number one fans.
