New Republican line: COVID-19 is a minor non-event that will be used by disease-carrying foreign vermin to destroy the United States

Poor Ron DeSantis is not happy that his self-branding as America’s COVID Governor turns out to have backfired spectacularly, and is looking for scapegoats to do some whataboutisms. And you know where he’d find them:

So, the huge spike in Florida is not because of DeSantis’s grossly irresponsible policymaking but because Joe Biden has failed to secure Florida’s borders with, uh, Georgia and Alabama? Seems plausible.

Meanwhile, everyone’s favorite fake-Appalachian Yalie venture capitalist and guy about to be humiliatingly defeated in the Ohio Senate primary is continuing his strategy of taking DeSantis to FedEx/Kinko’s and trying to dumb it down 30 IQ points or so:
