On behalf of the Lawyers, Guns and Money community I am delighted to announce that Cheryl Rofer will be joining the blog! I have followed Cheryl’s work on twitter, at Balloon Juice, and at Nuclear Diner, and I am very excited to see what directions she’ll go at LGM. Here’s a brief bio:

Cheryl Rofer worked at the Los Alamos National Laboratory from 1965 to 2001. She developed an essential spectrum for laser isotope separation, managed environmental cleanups and a program to develop a disposal method for hazardous waste, and worked with Estonia and Kazakhstan to clean up environmental problems left by the Soviet Union. Since retirement, she has been active in local groups having to do with world affairs and Manhattan Project history. In addition to her technical articles, a book, and multiple interviews, she has reviewed the television series “Manhattan” and the Santa Fe performance of “Dr. Atomic” for Physics Today.
