This opinion was noted by my good friends at the Koch Brothers-funded faux outrage machine Campus Reform, who managed to get enough good Christian folk worked up about this blaspheming that the president of Collin College (a public institution) sent out this apology, describing the tweet as “hateful, vile, and ill-considered,” as well as featuring “profanity,” (wtf?) without first touching base with the demonologist in the history department:
Well bless his heart, as the southern ladies say.
BTW here’s a transcript of a phone message I got after Campus Reform took exception to my prayerful petition that COVID-19 might soon transport our president to some ontological realm featuring more evidently just arrangements than those found in this one:
“I just wish you would die. And if you have any family members that got murdered, there’s nothing wrong with that.”
