I listened to Scott Walker’s new podcast so you wouldn’t have to

I teach in Iowa but, because of my partner’s job, spend much of my time in Madison, Wisconsin. I occasionally write for a kinda new web publication there called The Bozho, mostly using it as an excuse to drink at newly opened local bars and write about them. Sometimes I do other things.

Last week, former Governor and perpetual asshole Scott Walker launched a new podcast. In a moment of unprecedented masochism I said that I’d listen to it and write about it. It was awful. As a preview, this sentence basically sums it up:

“[Walker’s] belief that good podcasting means granular policy speak delivered by a man who’s not so much uncharismatic as anticharismatic suggests that Walker does not understand how podcasts work.
