Before this, my major fame to claim was getting a nasty e-mail from Harry Shearer after writing that Hurricane Katrina was a natural disaster instead of an “engineered disaster” in an article I wrote about charter schools and disaster capitalism in New Orleans. Now, it’s true that there is still stiff competition. After all, Lemieux has been retweeted by Morgan Fairchild and has a picture of him with Antonin Scalia. Farley is followed on Twitter by Jason Isbell, but then again, I am followed by early-era DBT bassist Earl Hicks, so I have hipster cred there. And he does have that post which was included in the liner notes of some MIA album a decade ago or so. But some Boots Riley props, I think I now win.
Also, it goes without saying, but Sorry to Bother You was pretty much the best movie I’ve seen in a very long time.
