Here’s a quick roundup of today’s developments, courtesy of a friend who traffics in reality (street value: currently in flux):

Refusing to return Garcia from El Salvador, on the day Trump is meeting Bukele. SCOTUS will have to decide if this is defying a court order, as everyone pretends it might not be.

Trump had no comment on PA governor mansion burning. “Just heard about it” he said this morning. If true, yikes. He did have a lot to say about the Masters.

NYmag with a report that Warner Brothers asked the Trumpers how they could get in good with the admin, like Bezos did with the $40M Melania doc. They heard back that Don Jr. would like a fishing and hunting show on the Discovery channel. Bribery.

Trump directs his FCC commissioner, who is one of his appointees who wears a little golden Trump head pin, to remove CBS’s broadcast license after a 60 Minutes show he didn’t like.

He was told that Russia’s Palm Sunday attack was “an accident”, then ranted again about how Biden and Zelenskyy shouldn’t have started the war.

The tariffs–computers and phones exempt on Friday, then he incoherently said something like that’s fake news or something. Nobody knows what’s going on.

“THE BEST DEFINITION OF INTELLIGENCE IS THE ABILITY TO PREDICT THE FUTURE!!!” —Not a street corner yeller making passersby very uncomfortable. [Ed. I think that’s a quote from Plan 9 From Outer Space]

RFK says they’ll know by August what causes autism. Wonder what the antivax cranks and charlatans he appoints to study it will find out.

A couple of additions:

When Nicole Micheroni got an email from the Department of Homeland Security Friday morning, she was not surprised. Micheroni, a Boston-based immigration lawyer, was used to dealing with federal authorities.

But when she opened the email, it appeared to be directed to her personally.

“It is time for you to leave the United States,” the email said.

Micheroni, who was born in Massachusetts, was confused. The message, titled, “Notification of Termination of Parole,” included no client name or case number.

“It took me a couple of minutes to realize it was sent to me, instead of someone I represent,” Micheroni said.

The message was not intended for her, the Department of Homeland Security said in a statement. But it was also not a scam. Rather, it was a product of the Trump administration’s efforts to deport hundreds of thousands of migrants allowed into the country under Biden-era initiatives that granted them temporary permission to live and work in the United States.

“DHS is terminating your parole,” the email said. “Do not attempt to remain in the United States — the federal government will find you.

Trump to Bukele: "Home-growns are next. The home-growns. You gotta build about five more places. It's not big enough."— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2025-04-14T16:50:46.592Z

Might be a good time to remember that none of the death camps were actually in Germany.

BTW Richard Hanania, who until recently was a semi-open white supremacist and at least fash curious, has suddenly discovered that Donald Trump is A Very Bad Guy Who Is Making America Worse. He’s even suggesting that the way things are going, waiting for the 2026 elections might be too late. Hey maybe Chuck Schumer will eventually sound this shrill, though I wouldn’t hold my breath or anything.
