Trump Turns Against the DEI Marxist Communist Islamocommunist First Trump Administration

Everyone who reads this website already knows this, but the second Trump administration is so, so, so much worse than the first. And yet the idiots who make up the electorate of the United States really don’t see this clearly at all. But that’s the thing about committed left/liberals–we pay attention to actual policy and know why it matters. So when Trump and Elon and Big Balls decide to kill programs from the first Trump administration, we even cringe at that because some of them were actually not horrible.
During his first term, President Donald J. Trump unveiled a bold initiative to end the H.I.V. epidemic in the United States by 2030 by focusing on 57 jurisdictions with the most urgent needs.
The plan, which Mr. Trump announced in 2019 at a State of the Union address, surprised advocacy groups. But it was widely lauded, and successful.
By 2022, the plan had driven down new infections nationwide by 30 percent in adolescents and young adults, and by roughly 10 percent in most other groups.
This time around, the Trump administration’s stance on H.I.V. appears to be much the opposite.
This week the National Institutes of Health terminated grants related to PrEP, the regimen of preventive drugs that can thwart H.I.V. infection, according to scientists who were notified that their funding had been discontinued.
The Department of Health and Human Services is also considering shutting down the H.I.V. prevention division of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and shifting some of its activities to a different agency, according to federal officials.
The C.D.C. provides funds to states and territories for detecting and responding to H.I.V. outbreaks, prevention, syringe exchange, expanded testing in emergency rooms and education and awareness. Roughly one in four new diagnoses of H.I.V. is made with agency funds.
“If the entire H.I.V. prevention infrastructure falls apart in this country, which it looks like we’re headed toward, there’s going to be a resurgence of H.I.V.,” said Julia Marcus, associate professor at Harvard Medical School, who lost three federal research grants in two days.
“It’s hard for me to understand why that’s something this administration would be pursuing,” she said.
It was already my strongly held belief that Donald Trump is the worst president in American history, very much including Andrew Johnson and James Buchanan, based solely on the first administration. Now? Trump is the worst president in American history by a landslide.
It is also my assertion that Donald Trump is single worst person in American history, which will be laid out someday in the obituary.
