Future historians, if any, should take into account that the destruction of the United States was in no small part (snicker) a consequence of a lot of white men being unable to deal with the fact that their schlongs were pitifully microscopic and/or, as in Elon’s case, completely non-functional. Please make a note of it.

Speaking of Yiddish, a friend of mine told me yesterday she was on a committee to select a new rabbi for her temple, and that the rest of the committee was made up of machers, unlike her. Which made me wonder what a good English cognate for this term would be. Movers and shakers? Masters of the universe? The first phrase can be used non-sardonically, while the second obviously can’t, unless of course you’re Elon Musk, who would no doubt consider it an accurate description of his supreme potency, metaphorically speaking.
