Just for you: The birthplace of Facebook & Xitter

Sometimes, when I’m noodling around with various ways to express an idea, someone else gets to it first and I can just quote them. In this case, the topic is blog comment sections as the parent or precursor to platforms like xitter, tumblr, Facebook, etc. And the person who expressed the idea is Roy Edroso, so you know it is solid (paywall).

But that’s kind of what Twitter and Facebook were: Comments, not to a blog, but to everything in the world.
