Trump’s Truth Social post a few minutes after he his meeting with Zelensky is definitive proof that the whole Oval Office shouting match was a pre-planned stunt on Trump’s and Vance’s part:

“We had a very meaningful meeting in the White House today. Much was learned that could never be understood without conversation under such fire and pressure. It’s amazing what comes out through emotion, and I have determined that President Zelenskyy is not ready for Peace if America is involved, because he feels our involvement gives him a big advantage in negotiations. I don’t want advantage, I want PEACE. He disrespected the United States of America in its cherished Oval Office. He can come back when he is ready for Peace.”

Of course his moron base will eat this up, with plenty of help from Rupert Murdoch & Co., but we shouldn’t lose sight of the extent to which this is all just another reality TV show, except for the millions of deaths and destruction of nations this particular Mark Burnett production involves.

Note too that this statement says in the most explicit terms that the USA does not see Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as a reason to favor Ukraine in either the war or in the negotiation of its eventual end.

This is exactly what you would expect the president of the United States to say if he were a Russian asset.
