A lot of news today, and we’re still 13 days from Trump actually being president again.
First, Aileen Cannon, with as far as I can tell no jurisdictional authority to do so, blocked the release of Jack Smith’s report on Trump’s stealing of large numbers of classified documents. I’m sure Merrick Garland will . . . on the other hand I think I’ll just let Marcy explain as the shrimp dip is beginning to boil.
Second, multi-billionaire Mark Zuckerberg announced that there won’t be any more fact checking on Facebook and that other thing, and Donald Trump pointed out during his completely bananas press conference that this was probably because Trump had threatened Zuckerberg.
Third, Trump is refusing to rule out taking Greenland and the Panama Canal by force, because these places are very important to American security and we wants it yes precious give it to us. He also said four separate times that “all hell will break loose” if Hamas doesn’t release the remaining 10/7 hostages by inauguration day.
There will probably be three more items on this list by the end of the day.
