Sources: Mike McCarthy is out as #Cowboys coach. The sides couldn’t agree on length of contract and McCarthy will pursue other opportunities. He leaves Dallas with a winning record and three playoff appearances.

And he had solved the Cowboys’ problem of suffering an annual humiliating playoff defeat too! I dunno what step 3 is but it probably involves the FedEx failson or the astonishing return of Jason Garrett or something.

For tonight, keeping in mind that when you’re right 60% of the time you’re wrong 40% of time, in a game in which I have no real idea what to expect I’ll take the Rams to win outright (+2.5).
