Just Put Trump on Mt. Rushmore

Mt. Rushmore is the greatest abomination in this nation. I’ve been there a few times and it is always the weirdest experience in this country. The last time I was there, the one thing I most noticed is that it is mostly a destination for angry white people. Some of this I suppose is that I was there in the summer and it is near Sturgis, so every part time pirate in the country was there, festooned with Trump gear. But even so, the whole idea of it is fascistic. Let’s blow the faces of our past leaders into the side of a mountain (one recently stripped from Lakota control no less) so that we, mere mortals, can look up on the greatness of the past. Moreover, let’s pick a recently deceased Theodore Roosevelt to join the three older presidents precisely because he projected the nation’s manly strength and obsessed about racial purity and Making America Great Again. Hell, why not finish the job with Trump? It will just reinforce what Mt. Rushmore is anyway, which is the nation’s purest historical expression of fascism.
