This “Onion Dip” salad is ridiculous and you should make it

Over the past year or so I’ve become a huge proponent of simple salads. And by simple salads I mean that there are only 1 or 2 actual veggies in it. One of my new faves is to take big leaves of romaine and drizzle it with a Thai-inspired dressing of lime juice, fish sauce, sugar, and garlic and *maybe* add some cilantro, scallions, mint or basil.

So when I saw this Green Salad with Sour Cream and Onion Dressing, I was intrigued, because it’s basically just a creamy dressing with lettuce.

I was skeptical this would actually taste like Sour Cream and Onion dip, which is what the Instagram blurb promises. But the tablespoon of onion powder does, indeed, make this taste startlingly like the pre-made dips you buy in tubs.

Long story short, this is quick, easy, delicious salad that’s just plain fun to eat.
