Today’s fun arbitrary list

As a cookbook aficionado I found this list very entertaining and also left me with some stuff to check out. My notes:

• A Norton rep sent me the Zuni Cafe cookbook in 2004 and it was life-changing. I’ve probably made this recipe more than any other.
• Hazan and Jaffrey deserve their elevated reputations.
• The French Laundry Cookbook is the appropriate choice given the criteria but the Ad Hoc and Bouchon cookbooks are the ones we actually use and the recipes are flawless.
• I am not a baker but Dorie Greenspan’s savory cookbook is also awesome.
