Keep calm and think of the overlords

I was following some of the good advice offered here and exercising for the first time in a couple of weeks. While I was doing a plank (ugh) the cat wandered over and gave one her sweetest meows. Maybe she was asking if I was OK. Or maybe she was reminding me that her ancient ancestors used to snack on my ancient ancestors. Or maybe she’s picking up on my unease about current events.

At any rate, as has been the case through other stressful times it was a reminder that no matter what happens I still live with furry overlord who has no way of ever understanding human concerns like politics. But she can tell when something is wrong with me, so I have to try to be as OK as possible.

If I can convince a skittish feline, maybe I can convince myself.
