What are we doing here?

This is an amazing juxstaposition:

So, on the one hand, we have Harris doing what every competent politician in known human history does and deflecting gotcha questions by talking about what they want to talk about, framed as some kind of scandal. On the other hand, we have the Times sanewashing “you know, now, a murderer, I believe this, it’s in their genes. And we got a lot of bad genes in our country right now” into “Trump has a longstanding interest in genetics.” It’s hard to know what to say at this point, particularly since the latter headline is sanitizing not only Trump but pesudo-scientific racism.
