There are multiple factors that have turned this race from Trump being a very heavy favorite to a coin flip in which Harris is probably a mild favorite, the most important being that Harris has substantially improved her approval ratings compared both to Biden and her own in June. But the fact that she has raised a massive amount of money doesn’t hurt, and if it’s keeping Trump and Vance out of competitive races out of a felt need to narrow the gap this is also good.

I’m not sure who Trump is going to get to attend the thing given that Republicans are solely a party of the working class now, though.
