NY Times tries to sanewash Patrick Soon-Shiong’s capitulation to Trump

This is incredibly misleading framing in multiple ways:
–In the first version of her story, Soon-Shiong’s nepo baby flat-out lied by claiming that the editorial board had decided not to endorse Harris, when in fact they were overruled by the owner.
–Patrick Soon-Shiong is a gullible Trump fanboy who did not say a word about Gaza in his statement explaining why he overruled his editors.
–The faildaughter’s argument that “giving Benjamin Netanyahu the election outcome he wants” is an effective way of advancing the Palestinian cause was rejected by the editorial board because it is extremely stupid on its own merits.
–Buried deep in the story Soon-Shiong explains that his daughter had nothing to do with the decision!
Nika speaks in her own personal capacity regarding her opinion, as every community member has the right to do,” the owner said, according to a spokeswoman. “She does not have any role at The L.A. Times, nor does she participate in any decision or discussion with the editorial board, as has been made clear many times.”
