Trump has spent the last couple of days spouting absurd lies about how the Biden-Harris administration is slow-walking the federal government response to hurricane conditions in red areas:
Meanwhile you have CNN national correspondent Kristen Holmes talking about how Trump is “taking this seriously” and offering “a message of unity.”
Let’s check on that message:
Meanwhile the governor of Tennessee’s response to the hurricane was to ask for “a day of prayer, humility, and fasting,” instead of, you know, making a formal request to the federal government for disaster aid, even though that kind of request is legally required before such aid can be scheduled for distribution. And of course some Tennessee MAGAT congresscreature immediately claimed that the Biden administration was delaying that relief, even though what was delaying it was all the prayer and fasting and humility down in the holler (oops I just created three more fascists by disrespecting the folkways of simple country folk. Sorry about that).
