The potential politica upside of a vice presidential nomination is very marginal, but nominating the most popular person on either ticket sure beats the alternative of of nominating an extremely unpopular one. And the idea that Walz would be doomed in front of a national audience by his allegedly radical (LOL) governorship in Minnesota appears to be pure pundit’s fallacy.
