The Biden Speech
Didn’t watch anything yesterday except for the Biden speech, which was extraordinary. Seems to me that he hit every point that he wanted to make, drawing the necessary (and sharp) contrast between himself and Trump and setting the terms for his successor. Even the stutters and glitches felt perfect in context.
Evidently some folks (mostly in the media, some in a partially imaginary “Biden World”) are unhappy that he was pushed so far into the evening; this was evidently disrespectful and intended to set him up his failure. This is self-refuting idiocy, as everyone knows that if he’d bombed the speech it would have been replayed endlessly on Youtube and in media. Unfortunately, “Dems are manifestly in array” is not a story that plays well even in the non-right wing media universe.
