Michelle Goldberg has a report from the Harris rally on Atlanta seeing a level of enthusiasm not seen among Democrats since 2008. It’s encouraging, but it’s dangerous to infer too much from being among a candidate’s strongest supporters. What is more important is the changes showing up in the polling aggregates:

538 is showing similar, and if anything slightly more favorable, results.
This is still going to be very difficult — if Trump remains up in Arizona and Georgia it creates a very narrow path for the Democratic nominee. But obviously the Democrats are in a much more favorable position than they were when their candidate was running double digit behind the party’s battleground state Senate nominees, and the convention hasn’t happened yet.
