They’re going all in with the Kamala Harris isn’t really black thing
At Trump’s rally tonight in Pennsylvania, they projected a headline from Business Insider back when Harris was elected to the Senate, noting she was the first Indian-American senator in US history. Alina Habba was just up on the stage talking about how, unlike Harris, she knows who she really is.
So Trump’s comments today about Harris decided to become black when it was convenient for her career wasn’t some offhand riff, but a planned theme they’re going to hammer.
Now to people outside the cult this sounds like a terrible idea, but let’s get all anthropological, and try to figure out what’s going on here. A participant-observer first cut at the weirdness of Trumpism:
(1) There are normal people, who don’t “choose” their “identities,” and then there are people who cheat, by being multiple things when it suits them.
(2) The normal people (straight white men) are just normal. They don’t get the special advantages that the Elites have decided to give the people who, instead of being normal, claim to be special, because they’re women, or members of racial/ethnic minority groups, or gay, or trans, etc. etc. etc.
(3) Kamala Harris represents a kind of identity politics that involves changing your identity for social advantage, which normal people can’t do, because they are normal, which she and people like her are not. This is unfair.
(4) When America was great, people like her couldn’t do this, because if you wanted a really important job you had to be normal. You couldn’t be some multi-racial freak married to a semi-race (((traitor))), who decides she’s Indian one day and black the next, like changing outfits, which is another thing abnormal people get to do (normal people have to wear dark business suits. Another big disadvantage of being normal).
The most unfair thing of all is that the normal people are being accused of being weird, when all they’re saying is that people should be normal, not weird. So it’s time to point out that being Indian one day and black the next is weird, like being a boy one day and a girl the next is weird.
Make American Great Again just means make America normal again. Which is not weird. It’s the opposite of weird, unlike being both black and Indian, and a woman who wants to be president, which is weird, as opposed to normal, which is what everyone should be.
That’s my thicc description anyway.
