Remember that obscure Project 2025 document that Democrats smeared Donald Trump with, by claiming he knew what it was?

Well it’s being published in September in book form, essentially, by Heritage Foundation president Kevin Roberts. The HarperCollins description:

Woah, somebody had better tell Donald Trump about this, before anybody gets the idea that he might be connected to this wildly unpopular set of policy proposals! Who might be in a position to do that?

I don’t want to go out on a limb here, but the fact that the author of this book’s Foreward is possibly the same guy that Donald Trump chose as his vice presidential candidate last week could suggest the existence of some sort of connection here, that cynics might interpret as, oh, I don’t know, consubstantial union between Project 2025 and Trump’s plans, or at least the plans of the people who will be working towards the Donald, to coin a phrase.

Also fun editing fact for the whole family: The publicity materials on the HarperCollins website describe the subtitle of the book as Burning Down Washington to Save America, but in just the last 48 hours that seems to have been suddenly changed to Taking Back Washington to Save America.
