Put this sauce on everything
A few weeks back I was looking for recipes for smashed cucumber salad, and I accidentally came across this recipe for smashed zucchini salad. I made it, largely ignoring the dressing ingredient amounts and was instantly smitten. This sauce–which you can throw together in less than 5 minutes–is absolutely delicious and addicting. I’d toss it on cucumbers, zucchini, sure, tofu, noodles (cold or hot), fish, chicken…honestly I just can’t think of any instance where it wouldn’t be amazing.
Put this sauce on everything!
- 2 or so tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of Chinese black vinegar
- 1 HEAPING tablespoon of chili crisp/oil/crunch
- I grated clove (depending on how garlic-forward your chili oil is, you can skip this)
- Couple teaspoons sugar or brown sugar
- Salt, if needed (If you’re putting on pre-salted veggies, you likely won’t need more)
Whisk together and enjoy!
