For MAGA people, no electoral loss for the right at home or abroad is legitimate

This bit of “you can take the authoritarian plutocrat out of apartheid-era South Africa but…” conveniently sums up how the reactionary movement in the US views elections:

“…deny Marine Le Pen her victory” really says it all. And the “every trick in the book” was “acting strategically to ensure that the left bloc representing 49% of the electorate got more seats than the fascist bloc representing 40% of the electorate.” Le Pen is not in fact entitled to have the opposition split the vote to allow a minority party to rule, unless your underlying belief is that fascists are entitled to rule whether they get get support from the electorate or not. Which is of course the view of Sacks, Trump, and the vast majority of the Republican Party.
