AOC Speaks

Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez recorded an Instagram video late last night, in which she outlines her objections to the “dump Biden” movement. Her biggest one is that they have no plan for what comes after Biden is dumped. Another is the anonymous leaks that are so craven and cowardly. She is in a position to know these things in a way that we LGM front-pagers aren’t.

I listened to most of the video, and I hope she will issue a more compact statement. But I am part of the Very Online class she talks about, and she is talking to a different demographic. She does a masterful job of explaining things, as she always does, but it takes a long time and can feel tedious to us of the Very Online.

I will continue to watch for something more compact. In the meanwhile, there’s a lot that’s worth watching in the video.

Update: Commenter Gregor Sansa summarized the points in a comment below. I would add one: She condemned the Democratic politicians who are leaking anonymously to the media as bullshit. That word. If they have something they want to say, say it on the record.
