Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is when you die of heat stroke
Today’s Trump Nuremberg-in-Vegas event is instructive in a lot of ways. Starting with his supporters openly acknowledging (as we discussed earlier) that they’re part of a quasi-religious cult:
"Thank God we're here in Sunset Park to worship and bring back the greatest president we've ever known in our generation." — the chair of the Nevada GOP https://t.co/0MiVatoP5S— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) June 9, 2024
Nor is Trump in any way hiding that he’s a narcissist who is literally indifferent about the lives of the fervent supporters he’s using for his own ambitions:
Trump: When we get in, it’s going to go very rapidly. We are going to look very strongly at J6. There has never been people treated more horrifically than J6 hostages pic.twitter.com/98S81uznu6— Acyn (@Acyn) June 9, 2024
To be Scrupulously Fair, he does have a little more use for the supporters willing to engage in literal violence on his behalf:

One thing you can never say… that you haven’t been told.
