No Labels, no guru, no method, no Manchin
I’m not terribly surprised that Joe Manchin didn’t run on the No Labels, Yes Ratfucking ticket — as much as an asshole as he can be, if he fundamentally preferred Republican policies, why vote for the IRA rather than just torpedo it? But the ratfuckers are still flailing around for whatever rando they can get:
A national co-chair for No Labels said Sunday the organization continues to pursue “several exceptional leaders” in the wake of Sen. Joe Manchin’s decision not to run for president in 2024.
“We’re talking with several exceptional leaders. We have our own internal process,” Dr. Benjamin F. Chavis said on “The Weekend” on MSNBC.
Chavis should consider an “internal process” in which he stops disgracing himself by being a cat’s paw for the most racist candidate to be on a major-party presidential ticket since Democrats ran the guy who would culminate his career by arguing the state’s position in Brown v. Board.
“In the next couple of weeks or more,” Chavis said, “we will probably make an announcement whether or not we will give the ballot access to a unity ticket. A unity ticket means a Republican and a Democrat. And we are talking to Republicans, Democrats and independents.”
One way you can tell these people are a joke is the way they treat a fusion candidacy like it’s a real thing, as if president and vice-president are a power-sharing relationship rather than one in which the former has 99% of the power. The listed order here, though, is probably not accidental.
As exhausting as the “fifty-dimensional-chess plan to replace Joe Biden with Johnny Unbeatable” can be, at least most of these people care about beating Trump. This is just a Republican front group that might end up as a pure grift just because nobody has so little dignity as to accept their nomination.
