Attempts to claim that a liberal-aligned group’s failure to denounce a bad thing over there invalidates discussion of bad things happening here deserve nothing but contempt.
But Dershowitz’s is the worst I’ve seen. And I’m counting things that have slurred out of the mouths of drunk larval lawyers.
“I understand all the feminist groups and the radicals who think this is the worst thing in the world that anybody ever had any contact with Jeffrey Epstein,” Dershowitz said during an appearance on Fox News’ Hannity. “Where are all those radical feminists when it comes to the Hamas rapes of young Jewish girls, sexual abuse, beheadings? They are quiet, they are silent! The incredible hypocrisy of the MeToo movement. Me too, except if you’re a Jew.”
He went on to say that he wanted “a list of all the radical feminists who are pushing hard” to get the names of Epstein’s associates unsealed.
This man is not hinged. But screaming about radical feminazis is a great way to rally the troops. And I’m sure rightists think If you care about the people who associated with a man who groomed and raped girls, you must be a feminazi who loves Hamas is the best rebuttal ever. Like too many people, they don’t give a shit about the victims.
But also, the release of the information is good?
He is “thrilled that all these papers have come out,” he said.
Maybe he realized that flop sweating like a cold glass on a humid day and yelling about imaginary feminazis might endanger his social life when he summers on the Vineyard.
