Tom Wilkinson, RIP

We have lost Tom Wilkinson, one of the great character actors of the last half-century. He was fantastic in so many films–In the Bedroom, The Full Monty, Michael Clayton, evidently some dumbass Batman movie, The Ghost Writer, Shakespeare in Love, Oscar and Lucinda, Grand Budapest Hotel, In the Name of the Father, we could go on. For me, it’s really about In the Bedroom, which is no fun film to watch but certainly is incredibly powerful and Wilkinson is a huge part of what made that film so memorable. He also played LBJ in Selma, but I actually never saw that film.
