As much as I personally loathe defending anyone in university administration, especially at schools like Harvard, it is important to note that whereas Penn completely caved to its right-wing donors (as if that school doesn’t have so much money that it couldn’t tell them to take a hike on principle), Harvard has not done so and is not firing Claudine Gay for the crime of failing to navigate the bad faith questioning of Elise fucking Stefanik, for christ’s sake. I maintain that any liberal who found anything useful in Stefanik’s bullshit questioning or who was outraged at the answers of the college presidents is at best a useful idiot and is more likely just a hypocritical moron.
