You Won’t Have Joe Manchin to Kick Around Anymore

Looks like Joe is hanging it up.

You gotta wonder about the timing; my feeling is that the Beshear victory in neighboring Kentucky could have indicated to Joe that a Democrat actually can win a contested race in a deep Red state… but Joe is a lot older than Andy, Senator is much easier to “nationalize” than Governor, and he’d be running on the same ticket as Biden. In any case, Democrats will very soon be able to forget that West Virginia even exists.
