Black Friday Open Thread: Aaron’s cronies edition

The New York Jets have benched Zach Wilson, in the abstract a highly defensible — indeed, long overdue — move. But because after acquiring Aaron Rodgers their sole criteria for further player acquisitions appeared to be whether the player would help Rodgers compile Joe Rogan transcripts, Wilson is being replaced by a quarterback who had a 13-to-1 interception-to-touchdown ratio…at the University of Connecticut:
Tim Boyle has thrown a combined 15 touchdowns and 34 interceptions in his college and pro careers. He started at UConn, sucked, transferred down to EKU, sucked, made the NFL, and has thrown 3x more picks than TDs as a pro. I am on year 5 of sheer confusion here https://t.co/kXoHTXNSBX— Rodger Sherman (@rodger) November 20, 2023
According to Al Michaels, Jets coach Robert Saleh is claiming that Boyle might be the next Kurt Warner. And Donald Trump might be the next Abraham Lincoln.
Another one of Rodgers’s golf buddies is a healthy scratch. Exactly what Woody Johnson deserves!
