I know we have a lot of academics and academics adjacent in the commenter crew, so I’m going to try something new: an LGM Research Showcase. I will request a suspension of the normal Farley Thread Rules of open commenting in preference for a more structured approach; let each commenter who so chooses describe one or more research projects (as presented here) in a top-of-the-hierarchy (alpha level) comment, with replies to that comment including questions, suggestions, avenues for new reading, collaboration opportunities, etc. Each additional “alpha level” comment will describe a different project with its own set of threaded replies. With permission, we’ll contemplate promoting some of the most interesting projects in a forthcoming main page post. I am ecumenical with respect to discipline; feel free to post regardless of whether you’re a historian, political scientist, organic chemist, medical researcher, aerodynamic engineer, etc.
