Fungus among us open thread

I’m enough of an outdoors person to have spotted these lovely funguses on Saturday (I was walking along a dry stream bed). After checking several sources I am almost certain they are delicious oyster mushrooms. That use a neurotoxin to kill microscopic nematodes, which they then eat. Because Mother Nature is metal AF.
But I am also enough of an outdoors person to know the one about the lack of overlap in the old/bold mushroom hunters Venn diagram.
Plus, they’re so pretty.
So I left them for the squirrels.
Discuss whatever, but don’t be an ass.
