Talkin’ Labor

I haven’t posted a lot in the last week or so because I’ve been exceptionally busy, even for me. One reason is doing a ton of media stuff around the strikes going on, both UAW and the Hollywood strikes. There’s a couple of links below for stuff I’ve showed up in, but for those of you who want something more substantial for your Saturday, I was on WOSU out of Columbus, along with a couple of Ohio union leaders, talking about strikes and other key issues in the labor movement. It was a full hour so should give you all something to chew on.

Here’s some stuff in The Intercept (they just picked up on something else, but that’s great!). Here’s something in USA Today. Hell, even People picked it up. The real bummer though is that I talked to the Washington Post’s fashion editor when it seemed that Biden might wear a specially made UAW vest for his visit and they were going to run a story on union fashion. Then he didn’t wear it so it didn’t run. However, as an extremely unfashionable human being, the idea of being interviewed by the WaPo’s fashion writer was just great, not to mention a huge chit to use in my marriage. “Erik, why don’t you dress better?” “Hey, only one of us has been interviewed by a major paper about fashion so I obviously am a trendsetter.”
