The Thing on Xitter
While you wait for the mugshottening in Georgia, here’s some coverage of the temperamental tangerine’s pre-recorded interview that ran on Xitter last night.
Donald Trump’s attempt to dominate the Republican presidential debate from afar Wednesday night veered into dark and occasionally bizarre territory as he mused with commentator Tucker Carlson about potential civil war, the manner of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s death in prison and whether he’s concerned about potential assassination attempts.
Trump, the early front-runner for the nomination, skipped the first Republican presidential debate in Milwaukee, instead opting to appear in a pre-recorded interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson posted Wednesday night on X, the website formerly known as Twitter. The interview was posted online five minutes before the debate aired.
As an aside, I really hope Carlson daring Faux to do anything about his non-compete agreement results in serious injuries for anyone involved.
Carlson wanted to talk about death and violence, a lot. Because projection.
“It started as protests against you … then it moved to impeachment twice and now indictment — I mean, the next stage is violence,” Carlson said. “Are you worried they’re going to try to kill you? Why wouldn’t they try to kill you — honestly?”
“They’re savage animals,” Trump responded. “They’re people that are sick — really sick.”
Asked specifically about the possibility of open conflict, Trump responded: “There’s a level of passion that I’ve never seen. There’s a level of hatred that I’ve never seen, and that’s probably a bad combination.”
Legal actions performed by Democrats in opposition to Republicans are the same as violence and murder. Yeah, yeah, they’re coming right at us, more guns, MAGA, jelly bean, boom. We heard you the first 5 million times.
Fortunately for all other Republicans, the modern day GOP doesn’t have its collective head so filled with bizarre and conflicting conspiracy theories that they might view other Republicans as a threat, and traitors to boot.
Anyway, you can read more at the links. I just not that this quote was in both articles.
“Do I sit there for an hour or two hours, whatever it’s going to be, and get harassed by people that shouldn’t even be running for president?” Trump said in the 46-minute interview. “Should I be doing that at a network that isn’t particularly friendly to me?”
Yes, he sounds exactly like a man who is going to pick the runner-up nominee to be his VP.
Hahahahahaha.
