The parade of the pathetic pick me politicians

It looks like the oily orange one plans to sit at home and yell at his TV this Wednesday, rather than attend the GOP’s first primary debate in Milwaukee. But at least four of his loudest supporters plan to go and shout “Hi tRump!” into the cameras

At least three of Trump’s staunchest Republican allies in Congress plan to be in Milwaukee, Wis., for Wednesday’s debate, including Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia and Florida Reps. Matt Gaetz and Byron Donalds. Kari Lake, who lost last year’s race for governor in Arizona, is also planning to travel to Milwaukee.

I’m probably worrying needlessly. But I hope this extremely transparent audition for America’s Worst Candidate’s Running Mate – The Sequel doesn’t devolve into uncivil words.

Or kicking. Or gouging. Or biting. Or stabbing. Or Second Amendment solutioning. I also hope they don’t turn the debate into some sort of undignified event full of jeering and heckling.

Anyway, if they’re hoping to be picked for the VP spot, three of them would be wasting their time. As the only white man in the bunch, Gaetz is the only one who has a shot. tRump doesn’t need a God-bothery sort to appeal to the Fundamentalists, they’ve decided he’s their imperfect vessel. And together he and Gaetz can recycle M.A.G.A, into Make America Grope Again.

Frankly, I find it hard to believe that TFG will be able to pass on a chance to lurch around in front of the cameras, insult his challengers and take credit for the ratings. Apparently he did a pre-recorded interview with Tucker Carlson, but who knows when or where it will air. Perhaps he’ll show up at the last minute and dare the RNC to turn him away. (They wouldn’t.)

People who post off-topic comments plan to watch that pre-recorded interview with Tucker because they miss him so.
