This is a little embarrassing to admit, but I’m still unsure who the current runner-up in the “race” for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination actually is. Some kind of tech mogul? Am I being racist by assuming that? (I probably shouldn’t have said mogul. Oops I did it again).
Speaking of which, my guess is that a lot of that 11% is the see I’m not a racist, I’m supporting the Black guy/foreigner/follower of miscellaneous religion — i.e., the same people who said they were voting for Herman You Can’t Raise a Cain Back Up When He’s in Defeat, and also the narcoleptic surgeon whose name I’m blanking on right now.
Anyway, Ron DeSantis is on the road to setting some sort of new benchmark for biggest face plant by a right wing darling of the media looking for a unicorn with a mullet the mythical Reasonable Republican.
I assume Trump’s impending indictment for RICO crimes in Georgia will bump his lead to 50 points by Labor Day.
